3,000th machine delivered from Changzhou

GF Machining Solutions Changzhou Co., Ltd. has reached a major milestone: the successful assembly and the delivery of the 3,000th milling machine, a Mikron MILL P 500.

The Changzhou plant of GF Machining Solutions has only been under full operation since 2009, but has already produced 3,000 machines, mainly for the Chinese market. "It has become the mainstay for sales growth within the Chinese sales company", Johnson Chen, Head of Market Region China, said. Until 2014, 1,000 machines were produced, in 2018, this figure was already twice as high, and two years later, in 2020, the target of delivering the 3,000th machine was achieved. In 2020, the Changzhou plant has reached a historical record in order intakes despite the pandemic.

GF Machining Solutions Changzhou Co., Ltd. has introduced the advanced technologies of the Swiss headquarter, boosting the manufacturing progress of milling machines in China. Major steps in the company history were the launch of the three-axis and five-axis high-efficiency milling machines Mikron MILL E and Mikron MILL E U from 2009 to 2014, and the launch of the high-performance Mikron MILL P 900 and the Mikron MILL P 500 from 2016 to 2020. The Mikron MILL E U, ideal for small-series production and mold industries, was the first five-axis machine made in China.

The plant has a total area of 51,550 m2, with a production area of 12,000 m2, a showroom of 1,300 m2 and a main office area of 7,300 m2. 60-80 employees working in tact assembly ensure a monthly output of 40-70 Milling machines with a lead-time of less than 30 working days.
